Answers to the questions on page 54 and 55
When I face with adversity or potential setback, I try to do my best to tackle the problem. I tell myself that whenever I feel that I'm facing a tough time, it is actually being a chance to grow. Also, since I know that I get frustrated on things I didn't do rather than the results, I try to make an action not to make regrets. Lastly, I try not to listen what the others say when making decisions, because if I make a decision by myself, I cannot attribute the result to anyone else.
However, since I often become too serious and captured in the dark side, having an 'optimistic' view should be necessary in order to overcome the problems. I could tell myself that the situation I consider to be the 'worst' is relatively better than people with much harsher conditions (like Shackleton).
Hi Arisa,
ReplyDeleteYes, whenever we think something is bad for us, it is not as bad as it was for Shackleton——great point!
And I like what you say about adversity being a chance to grow, about taking action, and taking responsibility for your own actions.
Good stuff!

ReplyDeleteI like your very positive attitude toward adversity. I also want to be able to think adversity is an chance to grow.
